{"id":227,"date":"2008-06-01T13:26:37","date_gmt":"2008-06-01T20:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infmom.net\/journal\/?p=227"},"modified":"2017-08-13T09:59:15","modified_gmt":"2017-08-13T16:59:15","slug":"on-births-and-birthdays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/infmom.net\/journal\/?p=227","title":{"rendered":"on births and birthdays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My daughter remarked the other day that this year her birthday falls on a Thursday, the same day as the day she was born.<\/p>\n<p>That led me to thinking about something I discovered about my&#8230;   what do you call the family you were born into?  They&#8217;re not your immediate family any more, are they?  &#8230;   anyway,  one of many interesting things about my parents, my brothers and me is that my birthday, my mom&#8217;s birthday, and my two younger brothers&#8217; birthdays always fell on the same day of the week, and my dad&#8217;s birthday and my oldest brother&#8217;s birthdays always fell on the same day of the week (a different day from the rest of us).  I don&#8217;t<a title=\"Happy Flickrversary..\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/8395041@N02\/2542210652\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin: 0px 6px; float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3080\/2542210652_b6841e58c5_m.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Birthday!\" \/><\/a> suppose the odds against that are as phenomenal as having everyone&#8217;s birthday always be on the same day of the week, but I suspect it&#8217;s pretty unusual.  The more so because ten years separates me from my youngest brother.<\/p>\n<p>Both my kids were born on Thursday, but three years apart, so they will never have same-day birthdays.<br \/>\nHowever, my son&#8217;s birthday and my husband&#8217;s birthday fall on the same day of the week.  No such luck for the female half of the family.<\/p>\n<p>It was hard enough on me when my son went off to kindergarten for the first time.
