To the tune of “Second Hand Rose”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once there was a party that was old and grand,
\nVoter registrations were in high demand,
\nEven though their platform came from Calvin C.
\nForcing back the clock to how things used to be.
\nNo one asking why the status quo,
\nOr why they never let an old gripe go.<\/p>\n

They’re pushing yesterday’s views,
\nYesterday’s news,
\nThat’s why they’re singing GOP blues.
\nWomen in the modern world are scary,
\nThese guys barely trust the Virgin Mary!
\nTrickle-down dreams,
\nThey’re losing their pensions, it seems,
\nBut voting like they’ll still be rich some day.
\nEven Joe the Plumber, he’s the guy John adores,
\nHe couldn’t seem to pay his income taxes before.
\nAin’t it a shame, but it’s just more of the same
\nOn re-run avenue.<\/p>\n

They’re still second place,
\nYesterday’s race,
\nPraying Obama will fall on his face.
\nSarah’s out there dancing with a shotgun,
\nPosing as a reader when she’s not one.
\nGOP blues,
\nThey’re focused on yesterday’s news,
\nThey’ve been that way since 1932.
\nEven Colin Powell, he’s the guy Bush adored,
\nHad the nerve to shove their guy McCain out the door.
\nNow everyone knows the GOP blows
